GOLF FITNESS ASSESSMENT / TRAINING
We now have solid evidence that there is a very strong correlation between muscle deficiencies and inefficiencies in the golf swing. By identifying and correcting these deficiencies (i.e. muscle tightness, weakness, and/or imbalance) we can enhance the golfer's swing efficiency, increase distance, improve accuracy, and address the triggers that are causing or may lead-up to golf-specific injury. This will, in turn, enhance playing performance and satisfaction, and help to get injured golfers back out on the course.
The golf fitness program is ideal for golfers of all ages and levels. It's practical application is instrumental in assessing and improving golf-specific muscular strength, flexibility, balance, and power. If you want to play better, healthier golf it's time to focus on the mechanism that's swinging the golf club. . .you the golfer.
The components of the 2-session customized, one-on-one package include:
a A golf fitness assessment (two of the physical screens pictured left) and video review of your swing to identify specific muscle deficiencies and consequential swing faults. Absolutely essential for effective exercise program design!
a Detailed exercises designed to target and improve the weaker anatomical deficiencies, allowing for better body control and swing mechanics. Exercise programs require little equipment and can be done in the home, fitness center or club.

Each session takes about an hour. If travel is required, the 2 sessions can be combined into 1, 2-hour session. A Pro Summary with your findings will be sent to your teaching professional, if desired.
For the more serious-minded golfer, a 4-session package is also available. After the initial 2 sessions, a 3rd individual training session will be scheduled about 4 to 6-weeks into the program. At that time, a progression into a more comprehensive functional training program will take place, advancing the corrective phase with golf-specific strength and balance exercises to maximize program benefits. Finally, a 4th session will re-assess the weaker areas found in session 1 and a maintenance program will be designed, which may include speed exercises to further enhance clubhead speed and distance.
